Dehradun, Nov 13: UPES on Thur sday concluded its 23rd Convocation, wrapping up a five-day series of school-wise ceremonies held from November 9 to 13, celebrating graduating students from its seven schools and UPES Online.

In a statement issued by the varsity, it said the multi-day format ensured focused recognition of each discipline and reinforced the university’s academic priorities. “The 2025 edition foregrounded scholarship, employability and innovation while welcoming leaders from across law, technology, energy, design, media and business,” the statement read.

The convocation brought together distinguished leaders from the Supreme Court of India, India International Arbitration Centre, Khaitan & Co, Micron India, ONGC, CRISIL, Schlumberger (SLB), the Physical Research Laboratory/ISRO, Democracy News Live, Google India, Glencore India, Jio, EY, Warner Bros. Discovery, V4C.AI and Dell India.

A total of 107 awardees were felicitated, including 13 Gold Medals, 71 Silver Medals and 23 Letters of Appreciation. Honours were distributed as follows: Advanced Engineering (17), Business (25), Computer Science (20), Design (11), Health Sciences and Technology (11), Law (18) and Modern Media (5). Additionally, 10 Silver Medals were awarded to meritorious students of UPES Online.

The President’s Gold Medal was awarded to Maitreyee Dubey from the School of Law (B.A., LL.B. Hons.). School-level Silver Medal recipients included Shashank Dhyani, Aashi Jain, Akanksha Kirpal, Ritu Mahawar, Sanskriti Dwivedi, Shambhvi Agarwal and Advaitesha Gupta across engineering, business, design, media, health sciences, law and computer science.

Addressing the valedictory ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr Ram Sharma praised the graduating class for its academic excellence and ethical grounding.
