At the reception counter of Prasad Joo Khan Heart Centre in Hawl Pulwama, a patient from Shopian experienced a spontaneous emotional outburst. When questioned about the cause of his outburst, he revealed that he had severe heart problems that were treated in Delhi twelve years ago.
Fearing the critical nature of heart issues, he diligently sought heart checkups and follow-ups every six months in Delhi. However, the financial strain and exhausting nature of these trips, both in terms of time and energy, took a toll on him and his attendants.
Expressing his gratitude, the patient highlighted the immense relief he felt upon discovering the state-of-the-art checkup services available in his neighborhood at a modest consultation fee.
He specifically mentioned Dr. U Kaul, expressing heartfelt blessings for the doctor’s weekly visits to his native village. Dr. Kaul’s presence in Kashmir to treat cardiac patients was described as a significant relief, sparing thousands of patients along with their attendants the arduous journey to Delhi for treatment.
