Lucknow, Mar  28: A youth-centric event took place at Vidhan Bhavan, Lucknow, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad Mahotsav. Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the event aimed to foster leadership under the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Abhiyan, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the Youth Parliament is not just about political leadership but also instilling leadership qualities across fields like governance, business, and the judiciary. "When you think beyond conventions and bring forth new ideas, you inspire society," he stated. Welcoming 240 young participants, he praised their engagement in discussions at India’s largest legislature.

He outlined the pillars of democracy, legislature, executive, and judiciary highlighting their collective role in governance. Recalling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s drafting of the Constitution, he noted that November 26 was declared Constitution Day in 2015 to honour this legacy.

He urged the youth to balance rights with responsibilities, linking it to the vision of a developed India by 2047. “True leadership stems from harmony between thought and action,” he said, encouraging pride in India's heritage and disciplined effort. Discussing India's global rise, he noted how yoga’s acceptance in 193 countries symbolises India's cultural influence. He emphasised technology’s role in governance, highlighting e-Vidhan’s success in making legislative processes paperless and corruption-free. He also praised the DBT system for eliminating middlemen in financial transactions. Drawing from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s journey, he reminded youth that perseverance leads to success. Reflecting on the Mahakumbh’s exemplary organisation, he stressed the importance of discipline and cultural values. In conclusion, the Chief Minister urged young leaders to hone their communication skills, stating, “Brevity is a powerful tool in democracy.” He highlighted that a structured, clear expression leads to greater influence. The event was attended by legislative leaders and officials, marking a significant step in youth empowerment.
