UP CM Yogi Adityanath reviews preparations for Navratri, Ramnavami festivities
Lucknow, Mar 29: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a high-level review meeting on Saturday, directed officials to ensure seamless arrangements for the large influx of devotees expected at major Devi temples and Shaktipeeths, including Devipatan Temple in Balrampur, Shakumbhari Devi Temple in Saharanpur, and Vindhyavasini Devi Dham in Mirzapur. Highlighting the significance of the upcoming Surya Tilak of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya, the Chief Minister emphasised measures to enhance devotees' comfort and safety.
He instructed authorities to provide jute matting for those standing in long queues under the sun, set up canopies, and ensure an adequate supply of drinking water at all temples.
CM Adityanath mandated a 24-hour Akhand Paath of Shri Ramcharitmanas in every district to mark the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Ramnavami. This continuous recitation will commence on the afternoon of April 5 and conclude at noon on April 6 at Shri Ramjanmabhoomi, coinciding with the Surya Tilak ceremony. Preparations for the event are already underway across the state. The Chief Minister also ordered uninterrupted 24-hour power supply during Chaitra Navratri and imposed restrictions on the sale of meat and eggs near temples. He stressed strict enforcement against illegal slaughtering. Furthermore, security arrangements are being bolstered, with the police instructed to implement a comprehensive crowd management plan and intensify foot patrols to ensure a safe and orderly celebration of the festival
