Elderly man run over by train in Central Kashmir's Budgam

Budgam, May 26: An elderly man died after being hit by a moving train on the Mazhoma-Budgam railway section in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday morning.

Official sources said that the tragic incident occurred at around 11:40 AM near Kantabagh, where train ran over the individual.

The body was found lying on the tracks between Mazhoma and Budgam.

The man has been identified as Ali Mohad Mir son of Mohammad Akbar Mir of Sanoor Kalipora

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Authorities have reached the site, and further investigation is underway.
