Unidentified body recovered from River Jhelum in Baramulla

Srinagar, Oct 27: Authorities were alerted on Sunday after a dead body was discovered floating in the River Jhelum near the cement bridge in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The body was recovered by local residents who promptly informed the police.

The identification of the body is yet to be ascertained while as police has initiated investigations into the incident, news agency KINS reported.

Police has urged anyone with information to come forward.

“The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more details emerge,” a police official said.
