Unemployment, price rise taking toll on people: Tariq Karra
Srinagar, Oct 26: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President and MLA Central Shalteng Tariq Hameed Karra on Sunday held an extensive tour of his constituency where he reviewed the developmental activities and also received feedback with respect to the pressing issues concerning general public.
Apart from other places Karra also visited Imambara at Khushipora where he met people who brought to his notice various issues pertaining to the area, appreciating Karra's efforts to mitigate their issues.
On this occassion Karra said it has always been his endeavour to reach out to people and address their concerns interms of socio political, developmental and various other pressing requirements and assured he will continue to represent public urgencies and genuine needs for their timely resolution, said a statement.
“Common people should not suffer on any count,” Karra added and said “unemployment menace has engulfed the entire society, besides the inflation has pushed people to the wall, leading to further economic distress, with the result people are feeling frustrated. He also lamented the fact that smart meters has contributed financial crisis, with the result poor and downtrodden people are unable to pay electric fees.
Govt must take measures to address the smart meters issue to ensure respite to public.” On this occasion various developments have been pending for the last ten years, were started.
