Under Modi govt, spirit of unity prevails in J&K: Amit Shah
Srinagar, April 11: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday lauded the decision of former Hurriyat-affiliated organisations to renounce separatism and affirm their commitment to the unity of India. Shah said he "sincerely welcome" their decision to place trust in the Constitution of India.
His remarks came after the Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement became the latest group to publicly sever ties with the Hurriyat, bringing the total number of such organisations to 12.
viewing it a significant development, Shah stated, "This is a victory of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji's vision for Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat."
In a post on X, Shah wrote, "Under the Modi govt the spirit of unity rules J&K."
"Another Hurriyat affiliate organization, Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, has rejected separatism, declaring complete commitment to the unity of Bharat. I sincerely welcome their move. Till now, as many as 12 Hurriyat-linked organizations have broken off from secessionism, resting trust in the Constitution of India," he added.
Concluding the post, he reiterated, "This is a victory of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji's vision for Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat."
