Srinagar, Oct 27: Tyndale-Biscoe School emerged victorious against Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar with a score of 2-1 in the finals of the Canon C.E Tyndale-Biscoe Invitational Football Tournament held at Sheikh-Bagh, Srinagar.

The tournament, which saw participation from various schools across the region, concluded with a grand ceremony attended by SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Hussain as the chief guest and SP East Mubbasher Bukhari among other dignitaries.

Individual awards were presented to outstanding performers, with Siyam Ishtiyaq from DPS Srinagar clinching the Top Scorer title. Tyndale-Biscoe School dominated the individual honours with Ahmad Aatif, Mohammad Surur, Bares Nissar, and Aazim Parveez winning Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Player of the Tournament, and Best Goal awards respectively.

Abid Yaqoob was recognised as the Best Coach, while Green Valley Educational Institute received the Best Disciplined Team award. The tournament sponsor, Genius Career Consultancy, presented a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 to the winning team. The event showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship, with teams competing intensely over several days before the hosts clinched the championship trophy in a closely contested final match.

The organisers acknowledged the contribution of referees and volunteers in making the tournament successful, while the sponsors were thanked for their continued support throughout the event.
