Two women injured in mysterious explosion in north Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar, Aug 06: Two women were injured in a mysterious explosion at Check Keegam, Gujarpati area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said Tuesday.

Quoting a police official, news agency KNC reported that two women, identified as Nahida Begum, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Gojar and Afrooza Begum W/O Gh Hassan Gojar, residents of Chek Keegam, Gujarpati got injured in a mysterious explosion near an army camp at Keegam Forest area during collection of firewood.

“Both the injured were shifted to GMC Handwara, where from they were referred to JVC Srinagar for advanced treatment,” the official said, adding that investigations have been started to find out the actual cause of explosion.
