Srinagar, Dec 29: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar today said that two Western Disturbances (WDs) in quick succession likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining parts from January 01 onwards.

An official of Meteorological Centre Srinagar told that the weather conditions will likely remain dry from December 29 to 31.

He said that two Western Disturbances (WDs) in quick succession likely to affect J&K and adjoining areas from January 01 onwards.

From January 1-2, under feeble western disturbance there is possibility of generally cloudy weather with light snow at scattered places during 1st evening/night to 2nd morning, he said.

He also said under moderate intensity western disturbance the weather conditions from January 3-6 will likely remain cloudy with light to moderate snow at many places of Kashmir division and scattered places of Jammu division.

The official said that cold wave conditions at isolated places during December 30 and 31 will continue.

In view of snowfall, sub-freezing temperature and icy conditions over roads (plains & higher reaches), the tourists, travelers and transporters are advised to follow advisories from administration and traffic department.
