Two Pak nationals among three escape from juvenile home in RS Pura Jammu; two cops injured

Jammu, Feb 16: Three inmates of a Juvenile Observation Home including two Pakistani nationals and a Khauff Gang member escaped from custody in the R S Pura Sector on Monday evening after allegedly assaulting two police personnel deployed on guard duty.

Officials said that on today evening information was received that the inmates attacked the on-duty guards and fled from the facility.

The escaped inmates have been identified as Ahsan Anwar, S/o Mohd. Anwar R/o Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan; Mohd. Sanaullah, S/o Mohd. Zaffer, R/o Basti Jawewala, Tehsil Dinpur, District Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Pakistan; and Karanjit Singh @ Gugga, S/o Arjun Singh, R/o Dablehar, R S Pura.

During the incident, 2 police person sustained injuries and were shifted for medical treatment.

Police have launched a massive manhunt to trace the escaped juveniles, while cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated.
