Driver dies, two CRPF men injured as boulder falls on vehicle in J&K's Poonch

Rajouri, Feb 27: A civil driver lost his life while two personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) received minor injuries and escaped narrowly after a boulder fell over a Scorpio vehicle at Lassana village of Surankote in Poonch district on Thursday.

The accident took place when a Scorpio vehicle JK02AP-0057 was on way to Jarran Wali Gali from Poonch when a huge boulder fell over the vehicle damaging it completely.

Two CRPF personnel sustained minor injuries but had narrow escape of life in the mishap but civil driver of the vehicle died on the spot, officials said.

The deceased have been identified as Wahid Ahmed Bajjar, son of Abdul Ghani, resident of Jarran Wali Gali in Poonch.

The body of victim has been shifted to local civil hospital while investigation into the matter has been taken up.
