Tral, May 29: The Tehsil Social Welfare Office (TSWO) Tral conducted a comprehensive awareness programme under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan at Roop Reshi Modern Public School, Kuchmulla, targeting drug abuse prevention among youth.

The Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) event drew significant participation from students, teachers, and civil society members, creating a unified platform to address the escalating drug abuse crisis in the region.

TSWO Tral officer  Rifat Jan highlighted the critical need for community-driven initiatives in tackling substance abuse. “Drug addiction poses a grave threat to our youth’s future. Every segment of society must collaborate to eradicate this menace from our communities,” she stated during the programme.

The campaign focused on educating participants, particularly young people, about the devastating consequences of drug abuse while promoting the vision of a drug-free society. Interactive sessions were conducted to enhance understanding of prevention strategies and rehabilitation support systems.
