Troops’ swift response saves civilian from heart attack at Chowkibal: Army
Srinagar, Feb 22: In a remarkable display of dedication to the community and swift action, Chowkibal grassion Battalion of Indian Army recently came to the rescue of a civilian facing a life-threatening heart attack, army said.
The incident unfolded when Tregam resident Ashiq Hussain suddenly experienced severe chest pain while doing his routine job of casual labourer.
The RMO of Chowkibal Battalion happened to be in the vicinity and Without hesitation, he swiftly responded to the emergency call, rushing to the aid of the distressed civilian.
Utilising their first aid training and equipped with essential medical supplies, the army personnel skillfully administered initial aid to stabilize the individual before transporting them to the nearest Army medical facility at Drugmulla. The timely intervention proved crucial in preventing further complications and potentially saving the civilian's life.
