Jammu, May 19: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Monday conducted an informative session on “Transition and growth in the banking sector”, featuring Ana Mahajan, Chief Manager at the State Bank of India, currently posted in Dehradun and handling the crucial responsibility of financial inclusion.

An alumnus of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (MBA batch 2008), Ana Mahajan shared her inspiring corporate journey in India’s largest public sector bank and offered valuable insights into the evolution of banking - from traditional models to contemporary dynamic, tech-enabled landscape.

Mahajan, according to a spokesperson of SMVDU, emphasized how the sector was being transformed by digital innovation, AI integration and a shift toward inclusive, customer-driven services. Highlighting the importance of marketing, analytical thinking and adaptability, she encouraged students to develop future-ready skills and embrace continuous learning to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
