Srinagar, Jan 23: JLNM Hospital’s Department of Anesthesia, Pain and Palliative Care Division, conducted a two-day training programme on Pain and Palliative Care.

The event, held at our hospital, brought together esteemed speakers from JLNM Hospital including Dr. Arifa, Dr. Syed Arif, Dr Manzoor ,Dr. Javed, Dr Shazia, Dr Sadia, Dr. Aqif, Dr. Alfer. Prof Nazir Ahmad Khan former HoD and Tabinda from SKIMS Pain and Palliative Care Deptt too took up a session.

The comprehensive program delved into various dimensions of pain and palliative care, emphasising its importance, applications, and need. Twenty-two doctors and eighteen nurses from different hospitals in Srinagar district participated, benefiting from the expertise shared.

The training program was conducted under the overall supervision of the hospital superintendent, Dr. Mohammad Tariq Jan , and deputy superintendent, Dr. Asifa Jan. Both emphasized the significance of integrating pain and palliative care into patient care, ensuring better outcomes for patients.
