Training on analytical techniques in agriculture export begins at SKUAST-K
Srinagar, Dec 19: Training on the application of analytical techniques and equipment in agriculture export commenced Monday at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir.
The two-week ‘Advanced Training on Application of HPLC, ICP-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS & LC-MS/MS in Agriculture Export’ is organised by SKUAST-K’s Research Centre for Residue and Quality Analysis (RCRQA) under the World Bank-ICAR funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) for the institutional development of the varsity.
Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai, who chaired the inaugural session of the training, emphasised the development of skilled manpower in analytical techniques for pesticide and antibiotic residue, heavy metal, toxin analysis etc.
He said the RCRQA is one of the best laboratories in India and at par with the international standards with state-of-the-art facilities providing various services, adding it has, a multidisciplinary scope of this laboratory in R&D and medical science programs.
