Training for Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates conducted

Baramulla, Aug 23: A specialised training programme for Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates was today held at Town Hall, Kunzer, in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections.

The training, conducted under the supervision of Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, Returning Officer for 11-Gulmarg assembly constituency, was conducted to equip magistrates with the essential knowledge and skills required to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the elections.

Master trainers led the sessions, focusing on key topics such as election management, roles and responsibilities of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, law and order maintenance, and the implementation of election guidelines. The participants were trained in the logistical and procedural aspects critical to the election process, ensuring that they are well-prepared for any challenges during the polling period.

Returning Officer 11-Gulmarg AC emphasised the need for close coordination and thorough preparation to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections. He called upon the magistrates to exercise their duties diligently, ensuring that the election process runs smoothly without any disruptions.

The training programme concluded with an interactive session, allowing the magistrates to discuss potential challenges and clarify doubts regarding election procedures with the master trainers.
