Training for micro observers held at Poonch

Poonch, Sep 08: The District Election Authority has significantly ramped up its preparations for the upcoming Assembly Elections, focusing on the training of Micro Observers across the district’s three constituencies: Surankote, Haveli and Mendhar.

In a key training session held today at the Government Degree College Poonch Auditorium, General Election Observer Solai Bharathi Dasan addressed the Micro Observers, underscoring their crucial role in the electoral process.

Dasan emphasized that Micro Observers are the “Eyes and Ears” of the Election Commission of India, entrusted with responsibilities such as monitoring polling station readiness, ensuring Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) are in place, supervising mock poll procedures, conducting post-poll reporting and other duties following the Election Commission’s guidelines.

During the session, Dasan urged the Micro Observers to perform their duties with utmost impartiality, punctuality, and efficiency.
