Training capsule for VDC members at LoC village

Rajouri, Oct 9: Indian Army on Wednesday conducted a training capsule for Village Defence Committee (VDC) members in Line of Control (LoC) village of Rajouri district.

This training capsule has been conducted for the members by the Indian Army and aim of training was to educate, empower and strengthen the VDCs.

Indian Army organised this firing practice while the members included civil villagers and ex-servicemen who participated in the firing practice.

The VDC members were given firing practice on new weapons recently issued to them by J&K Police while in addition to firing, VDC members were given classes on weapon handling and regular maintenance of the weapon.

VDC members were also briefed about maintaining vigil and precautionary actions to be taken on spotting any suspicious indiviy, reporting it and necessary DOs and DON’Ts.
