Traffic restricted on Bhaderwah-Chamba, Chattergalla roads

Ramban Dec 14: In view of snowfall in the upper reaches, a sharp dip in temperature and the formation of frost affecting road safety, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Additional District Magistrate, Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal has issued an order regulating traffic movement on the Bhaderwah–Chamba and Bhaderwah–Chattergalla roads.

According to the order, the concerned agencies were directed to submit updated status reports on road conditions along with feasible timings for vehicular movement.

Based on the reports received, it was found that traffic could be allowed on these roads only during specific hours to ensure the safety of commuters.

As per the directions issued with immediate effect, no vehicular movement towards Guldanda and Chattergalla will be permitted beyond Thanthera after 10 am and before 5 pm.

Similarly, on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road, no vehicular movement will be allowed beyond Thanalla after 11 am and before 4 pm beyond the 26th kilometer.

The order further states that the Additional Superintendent of Police will make all necessary arrangements to ensure strict implementation of these restrictions.

Concerned departments have also been instructed to regularly monitor road conditions and report any changes.

The order has been issued by ADM Bhaderwah vide Order No PA/ADC/B/25-26/3334-45 dated December 12, 2025, in the interest of public safety.
