Traffic jams on Rambagh-Natipora route irk commuters

Srinagar, Dec 2: Failure of authorities to take measures to prevent persistent traffic jams on the Rambagh-Natipora stretch is causing immense inconvenience to commuters.

“It is a nightmare to travel from Rambagh to the Natipora stretch due to long traffic jams,” said Athar Ali Nazki, a commuter. “Thousands of commuters suffer due to the failure of authorities to undertake the widening of the stretch. We are mulling taking legal action to make authorities remove bottlenecks on the route,” Nazki said.

“It is sad to see ambulances stuck in the traffic jams at Natipora. Surprisingly, authorities are sitting on the serious issue. Traffic authorities have left the commuters to suffer on the busy,” said Shahid Khan, a commuter.

Commuters urged the Roads and Buildings Minister to take steps for the widening of the road from Rambagh to Natipora for the convenience of commuters.
