Traffic halted on Srinagar-Jammu highway after multiple vehicles collide in Ramban
Srinagar, Sept 25: Traffic movement has been halted on Jammu-Srinagar National highway, following a major accident involving five vehicles near Machlana area of Ramban, officials said.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that three trucks, and two vehicles collided near Machlana area, resulting in injuries to few persons and traffic chaos on the highway.
The official said that due to narrow passage, traffic on the highway has been halted.
"Traffic stopped from both ends on Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to an accident between three trucks and two vehicles at Nachlana," the official said.
"There is hardly place for a single vehicle on the road."
Commuters are advised to keep patience, follow lane discipline, overtaking will lead to congestion, avoid travel if not necessary" traffic police said in a statement.
