Traffic halted on Srinagar-Jammu highway after boulder slide

Srinagar, Apr 01: A fresh boulder slide that hit Srinagar-Jammu highway near Sherbibi Kishtwari Pathar prompted authorities to suspend vehicular movement on both sides on Monday.

An official said that fresh boulder slide struck Srinagar-Jammu highway on Sherbibi Kishtwari Pathar, leading halt on traffic movement on both sides.

He said the restoration work has been started to clear the road for smooth vehicular movement, and advised motorists to maintain lane driving for smooth regulation of traffic movement on the highway.

Pertinently the traffic movement had been stopped on Jammu-Srinagar highway after mudslides and shooting stones hit highway in Ramban district on Saturday, however the movement was restored on Sunday after span of 15-hours.
