Traffic awareness programmes conducted across Handwara in collaboration with school students

Handwara, Apr 14: In a proactive initiative to promote road safety and responsible driving, the Police District (PD) Handwara Monday organised a series of traffic awareness programmes across various locations in the Police District.

A statement of the Traffic Police issued here said that the events witnessed active participation from students of different schools, who played a vital role in spreading awareness among the people.

The programmes, held under the supervision of senior Police officials, included awareness rallies, the distribution of informative pamphlets, and interactive sessions on traffic rules and regulations.

The students, accompanied by their teachers and local Traffic Police personnel, engaged with commuters and emphasised the importance of wearing helmets, using seat belts and avoiding mobile phone usage while driving.

The initiative aims to instil a culture of road safety among youth and create a sense of shared responsibility towards safer roads in Handwara.
