Traders seek basic facilities in Sopore town
Sopore, Aug 02: The delegation from Traders Federation Sopore under the Presidentship of Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie on Thursday met with DC Baramulla Minga Sherpa to discuss various issues faced by people of Sopore town especially pressing water crisis, electricity and macadamisation of roads.
President Ganaie acknowledged the severe water crisis affecting the town and expressed his concern over the paucity of other basic facilities within the town.
He also highlighted the deteriorating condition of the main and link roads in the town. He said that water schemes of the town should be upgraded as it has expanded and is presently facing a deficit of 20 lakh gallons of water.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla gave a patient hearing to the problems being faced by the people of Sopore town and assured that immediate measures would be taken to look into the issues.
