Tractor driver arrested for illegal transportation of minerals

Baramulla, Jan 4: Police in Baramulla have seized a tractor and arrested its driver for illegal transportation of minerals.

A Police party under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO PS Kreeri, seized a tractor and arrested its driver identified as Javeed Ahmad Mir resident of Saloosa Kreeri for illegal transportation of minerals at Saloosa Kreeri Baramulla. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been initiated.

“People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law,” police said.
