Tour for Kupwara students concludes
Kupwara, Feb 8: The six day long Bharat Darshan Tour organised by 139 Battalion of Border Security Forces (BSF) based at Trehgam, Kupwara for local students concluded today.
A group of 15 students (boys) from Government Boys Higher Secondary School Keran and Government High School Mundian located near Line of Control were part of Bharat Darshan Tour along with a teacher.
The students visited historical and cultural landmarks in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, including the Sabarmati riverfront, Adalaj stepwell, Science City, and the Statue of Unity. They also explored the Jungle Safari, Cactus garden, and surrounding areas, enjoying activities like the mirror maze and valley of flowers.
Upon their return, the group was received by Brigadier Manish Dutt Upadhyay, DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara, Kashmir Frontier, and Anil Kumar Guleria, Commandant 139 Battalion BSF. The students shared their experiences and learnings, highlighting the multicultural and multilingual diversity of India.
The chief guest presented the group with a photo album containing their tour memories, followed by tea and snacks. The participants appreciated the arrangements made for them, including accommodation, food, transport, curriculum, and quality of items issued.
DIG Manish Dutt, while talking to media said that the tour provided the students with a unique opportunity to experience India's rich culture and gain firsthand knowledge of various developments across the country. "The Bharat Darshan Tour aimed to promote national integration and foster a sense of unity among the youth," he added.
