Tour for CUK students organised

Ganderbal, Nov 1: The Department of IT at the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organised a two-week industrial tour for M Tech students of the 2nd and 4th semesters from the 2023 and 2022 batches, respectively, to the Department of Computer Science at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh.

The programme provided students with exposure to emerging technologies and industry practices. During the tour, students attended specialised lectures on artificial intelligence and cyber security, along with hands-on training sessions that deepened their practical knowledge in these critical fields.

They also visited SCIR laboratories and research centers in Chandigarh, gaining insights into pioneering research and technological innovations.

Congratulating the students on their participation, tour coordinator Dr Yash Paul, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Department, said, "Experiences like these are vital for students to stay abreast of the latest technological trends, equipping them for the demands of the fast-evolving tech industry."

He thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof A Ravinder Nath, Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof Shahid Rasool, and Registrar Prof M. Afzal Zargar for their support. He also acknowledged the contributions of colleagues including Dr Zahoor Ahmad and Er Afaq Alam.
