Total knee replacement done at JLNM Hospital

Srinagar, Dec 12: A total knee replacement was done at Government Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital (JLNM) Hospital Rainawari here.

According to a press release a 60 years old female was admitted as a case of severe osteoarthritis both knees at the hospital . The patient was planned for total knee replacement. After proper evaluation the patient was operated under Ayushman bharat scheme free of cost .

The operating team was Dr Naveed Bashir,Dr Suhail Bhat, and Dr Bilal Lone. The anesthesia team comprised of Dr Nikhat Mumtaz, Dr Sadia Wani, and Dr Aakif. The operation theatre team headed by Sami ullah', Nahida, Bashir Ahmad and Mohammad Shafi. The logistic support was provided by Medical superintendent Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan who encouraged doctors to do such type of procedures in the hospital for the benefit of poor patients.
