NIAS Safe Haven Fellowship 2026 – Fully Funded, Netherlands

The NIAS Safe Haven Fellowship offers fully funded opportunities for scholars, writers, and artists—particularly those affected by conflict or war—to pursue projects in the humanities or social sciences. Fellows will receive a €3,500 monthly stipend, travel allowance, subsidized accommodation, office space, and library access. Additional financial support is available for applicants from low-income countries.
The program includes creative writing workshops, weekly seminars, cultural events, and public activities, with lunch provided four days a week. Facilities include an office with a laptop, phone, printer, internet, and research materials.
Eligibility:
Open to scholars from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
PhD required for artistic/journalistic projects; for scientific proposals, at least 3 years of post-PhD research experience.
Projects must relate to humanities or social sciences.
Strong English skills required.
Not open to applicants from institutions boycotted by the Dutch state.

Czech Government Scholarships 2026–27 | Fully Funded
The Government of the Czech Republic is offering fully funded scholarships for students from eligible developing countries to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs. The initiative, run in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to empower youth to address socio-economic challenges and contribute to global development.
Programs & Duration
• Czech language programs:
o Follow-up Master’s: 2–3 years
o Preparatory language course: 1 year
• English language programs:
o Follow-up Master’s: 2 years
o Doctoral: 3–4 years
• Special eligibility:
o Bachelor’s (3–4 years) – Georgia only
o Follow-up Master’s – Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus
o Master’s & Doctoral in English – All eligible countries
