UBD Graduate Research Scholarship 2026
Applications are now open for the UBD Graduate Research Scholarship 2026, welcoming students of all nationalities. Offered by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD)—the country’s leading institution located in the northern region of Borneo—this prestigious scholarship supports outstanding graduate research candidates from around the world.
UBD boasts 10 academic faculties and 7 dedicated research centers, with a strong history of hosting international exchange students and delivering programs in English. The university has also earned significant global recognition, currently ranked #3 in the ASEAN region by the Times Higher Education rankings.
High-impact research fields will be prioritized for funding in this UBD graduate scholarship which includes Energy, Material Science, Biodiversity, Data Analytics, Asian and Islamic Studies, Bio-inspiration, Climate Change, Herbal Medicine, Sensor Technology, and Catalysis. The doctoral scholarship will cover living expenses, books, food, personal expenses, and complimentary medical care at any Brunei government hospital in addition to the tuition paid by the government.
