TOLIC meeting held in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jun 4: A meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Srinagar, was convened under the chairmanship of T M Sreelatha, Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle and Chairperson of TOLIC on Wednesday.
The session witnessed participation from Heads of Offices and officers from various central government departments, along with principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas based in Srinagar and other towns of Kashmir.
The chairperson emphasised the need for departments to actively promote the use of Hindi in official work and to motivate staff through awards and certificates for commendable performance in Hindi usage.
She also assured support for training of staff from member offices in the near future.
Highlighting ongoing initiatives, Sreelatha informed attendees that a letter-writing competition was currently underway among staff of TOLIC member offices, with the deadline extended till June 15, 2025.
More such competitions are scheduled ahead of this yearís Hindi Pakhwada, with winners to be felicitated with cash prizes and certificates.
Director Postal Services, Prateek shared insights on enhancing the work culture in the official language and concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks.
