Throat-slit body found in Kupwara

Kupwara, May 27: A throat-slit body of a middle-aged person was Monday found in the Awoora area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Shobhit Saxena said that following information about the presence of the body in a house, a team of Police was dispatched to the spot.

He said that all medico-legal formalities had been carried out.

“After the postmortem report is received, the cause of death of the deceased person can be revealed,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Hamid Khan, son of Ghulam Muhammad Khan of Mir Muqam Awoora, Kupwara.
