Three ITBP Jawans among four injured after truck plunges into gorge in J&K's Banihal
Banihal, June 22: Four persons including three jawans of ITBP were injured after a private truck they were travelling in, rolled down near Kharpora village in Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The truck was on way to Kashmir valley from Jammu.
A police official said soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by locals, police, traffic police and volunteers of NGO Banihal.
All the four injured have been rescued from the site of accident and shifted to SDH Banihal for treatment where there condition is stated to be out of danger, he said.
He identified the injured as driver Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Khanmoh Srinagar, Gautam Sanadhan resident of Orissa, Lakhmasi Singh and Satpal Singh both residents of Uttarakhand.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
