Thinksite brings early exposure to entreprenuership
It was a surge of youthful enthusiasm and creativity as the FuturePreneurs’ Bootcamp, organized by Thinksite (TSPL), a Srinagar based educational platform, concluded its second successful bootcamp on the 27th and 28th of July. The bootcamp was a dynamic, simulation-based learning experience designed to introduce children to the fascinating world of business management.
Far from traditional classroom lectures, the bootcamp offered hands-on training that engaged students in setting up and running their own business enterprises. This thrilling two-day workshop was attended by students from some of Srinagar’s top schools, who immersed themselves in role-playing and creative thinking exercises.
"I learned the value of money for the first time," said Zyna, a class 7 student from Presentation Convent School, her eyes sparkling with newfound understanding. Hazik, enthusiastically discussing idea generation with his team members, added, "Today we learned how to create value in products and solve real-life problems."
The program’s focus extended beyond business acumen, addressing the critical need for social skill development among today’s children. Through activities that promoted group forming, teamwork, negotiations, and handling stress, students learned the importance of social interactions in a supportive environment. The benefits of this approach were evident in the beaming faces of participants as they wrapped up, having mastered the art of bringing products to market.
The excitement was palpable as students celebrated their achievements, each team proudly presenting their unique products. "It’s incredible to see these young minds buzzing with ideas and determination," said one of the trainers. "We’re not just teaching them about business; we’re preparing them for real-life challenges."
Thinksite aims to promote the idea of Early-Earners through its various workshops and cmpas, and this bootcamp is a begeniing in that direction. The feedback received after the two bootcamps clearly shows that parents and students are eagerly anticipating the next session, looking forward to another round of innovative learning and growth.
