“There will be no deletion of the chapter”: Omar Abdullah assures Tarigami

Srinagar, Dec 19: The chief minister J&K Omar Abdullah today assured MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami for his concern he expressed over removal of the chapter on the life of revered saint Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani from the 9th-grade textbook.

The chief minister said that the matter has already been taken up by Minister of Education Sakina Itoo.

“I assure @tarigami Sb that there will be no deletion of the chapter. The matter has already been taken up by @sakinaitoo sahiba as soon as this was brought to the attention of the government,” chief minister Omar Abdullah said on X.
