Theft case solved by Jammu Police
Jammu, Mar 21: Police in Jammu district solved a case of theft and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees.
Police said that on February 26, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Channi Himmat by a widow Farida Khan. She stated that she along with her daughter had gone to nearby shop and when they reached back she saw doors of his house broken . Some unknown thieves have decamped with valuables amounting to Rs 4.5 lakhs approximately along with cash
A case FIR number 25/2024, U/Ss 454/380 IPC was immediately registered at police station Channi Himmat and Police swung into action.
Sensing gravity of the crime, Police team headed by SHO Channi Himmat Mohammad Sadeeq Jatt alongwith Incharge Police Post Sainik colony PSI Amreek Singh was constituted by SDPO East Jammu. Sheezan Bhat.
Different police parties were constituted at police station level which raided several hideouts.
After generating human as well as technical intelligence, several suspects were rounded up and put to questioning.
During sustained questioning it came to fore that two suspects Akash Khushu son of Ashok Kumar resident of of Muthi Domana and Javeed son of Latief Mohammad resident of Rahim Nagar Narwal Jammu broke down the doors and confessed their involvement in the crime.
On their disclosure, gold items about 70 grams and silver items about 150 grams were recovered from different places from both the accused. A scooty and a LED purchased by accused from the stolen cash too, have been recovered and seized in the instant case.
