The dark side of the digital world
In the age of the internet, our lives have changed a lot. We do many things online, from work to socializing. But with all the good stuff, there's also a growing problem – online fraud. How fake companies trick people, and how YouTubers sometimes unknowingly help scams. Online fraud is when people do murky things on the internet to get money or steal personal info.
The recent 59 crore fraud committed by Curative Survey Pvt Limited not only embezzled substantial funds but also manipulated the feelings of the hapless Kashmiri populace. Similarly, so-called YouTubers who endorsed these fraudulent companies directly influenced the lives of the people, worsening the impact of the deceit.
Fake companies use the internet to seem real and cheat people. They make fancy websites, create fake stories, and give tempting offers to fool normal folks. It's hard for people to tell the difference between real and fake.
YouTube, a big platform for videos, YouTubers influence the followers & entangle them in online fraud; sometimes they do this unintentionally which helps the fraudulent companies. Sometimes intentionally; YouTubers and fake companies team up; they make videos that look real but promote scams.
These YouTubers and fake companies use psychology to fool people. They use emotions to get people interested. Look at how this affects viewers' choices and how YouTubers use their influence to promote scams.
We need to educate ourselves about the online scams. Both the administration and private groups should help people to understand how to stay safe online. Every platform has rules, but it's hard to balance free speech with stopping fraud.
Youtubers ought to be clear about what they're promoting and be responsible. If they hide things, it hurts the trust their fans have in them.
Fundamentally only rules work together to fight global online fraud. It's tough because different countries have different rules. Think about the future of trust online and new tech that can help.
In the end, we all need to be responsible online. Individuals, YouTubers, platforms, and even governments should work together for a safer and more honest digital world.
