Man jumps into Jhelum from Zaina Kadal in Srinagar's Downtown

Srinagar, Mar 28: A man jumped into the river Jhelum from Zaina Kadal area of Srinagar's Downtown on Thursday evening, officials said.

Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a resident of Zakoora, Srinagar, jumped into the river Jhelum near Zaina Kadal this evening.

He added that a rescue operation was launched, but unfortunately, divers were unable to trace the person till late evening.

The police have started an investigation into the matter, the official said.
