Terrorist killed in an ongoing gunfight in north Kashmir's Lolab

Srinagar, Nov 06: An unidentified Terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter in the forest area Lolab in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, reports said Wednesday morning.

Quoting a top police officer news agency NVI reported that one terrorist has been killed in Lolab, and his identity is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, a nocturnal gunfight between security forces and terrorists broke out in Lolab forest area of Kupwara district, officials said.

They said after specific inputs about presence of militants, the Army’s 28RR along with J&K Police Kupwara cordoned off Lolab forests and started searches.

“Soon after the search party zeroed in the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire which led to encounter in the area,” they said.
