Terrorist fired indiscriminately at bus: Injured

Rajouri, June 9: Recounting the horror of Reasi terror attack, the injured pilgrims said that the terrorists initially fired at the bus due to which the driver sustained injuries and lost his balance.

“The attackers resorted to indiscriminate firing at the bus even after it plunged into a gorge,” they recalled.

“I was sitting next to the bus driver and the vehicle was coming downhill from dense forests when I saw a man wearing olive-green clothes resembling army dress and covering his face and head with black cloth. He came in front of the bus and opened fire,” injured Santosh Kumar of Uttar Pradesh said.

He added, “Soon after this firing, the driver lost control and the bus plunged into a gorge.” The injured eye witness further said moments after the bus fell into the gorge, the terrorists fired indiscriminately upon it.  The firing continued for several minutes, he said. “We were in a helpless state in the gorge before some locals arrived there and helped us and later some police personnel also reached,” the injured man, undergoing treatment in Reasi district hospital, said.
