Terrorist associate held with grenade in Awantipora: Police

Srinagar, Dec 12: In a major success against the terror network, Awantipora Police along with security forces arrested a terrorist associate involved in supporting terror.

Acting on credible input at Naner Midoora, Awantipora Police in a joint operation with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF, launched a search operation in the area. During the search, one terrorist associate identified as Musaib Nazir, S/o Nazir Ahmad Teli, R/o Ladhoo Khrew associated with JeM was apprehended and a grenade was recovered from him, police in a statement said.

Accordingly the person was booked under FIR No. 257/2025 with relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Awantipora, and further investigation has been initiated.

Police Awantipora remains committed to dismantling the terror ecosystem and ensuring peace and security in the Police District, the statement reads.
