Terror attack despicable crime against humanity: Dr Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Apr 23: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah has vehemently condemned the heinous Pahalgam terror attack as a despicable crime against humanity.

In a strongly worded statement, Dr Farooq expressed deep shock and anguish at the tragic loss of innocent lives in today's heart-wrenching incident. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, offering thoughts and prayers during this time of unimaginable loss. He said that violence has no place in a civilized society, and such acts only serve to deepen the wounds of our people.

Joining Dr Farooq in denouncing the attack were other prominent members of the party, including General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar,  other leaders Sheikh Mustafa Kamal,  Shami Oberoi, Tanvir Sadiq, Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Abdul Rahim Rather, Mir Saifullah, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, Sakina Itoo, Shameema Firdous, Mubarak Gul, Party MPs Mian Altaf Ahmad, and  Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi.  The collective sentiment among party members was one of outrage at what they described as a criminal act against humanity.
