Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament debuts in Banihal

Banihal, Oct 27: The District Ramban Tennis Ball Cricket Championship commenced today at the Sports Stadium Banihal, featuring teams from various zones competing in multiple age categories for both boys and girls.

The three-day tournament, organized by District Ramban Tennis Ball Cricket Association under the J&K Tennis Ball Cricket Association, is sponsored by the J&K Sports Council as part of its "My Youth My Pride" initiative.

Capt Lokesh Singh Rathore of 12 RR KARWA and Dr A.S. Khan inaugurated the event, alongside Veterinary Surgeon Mukhtar Nabi and Vice President Vyapar Mandal Banihal. The chief guest encouraged participants and urged organizers to conduct similar events regularly in Ramban tehsil, noting the district's potential in tennis ball cricket.

This marks the first such tournament in the area, with teams competing across Senior, Junior, and Sub-Junior categories. District Association officials and other guests were present during the opening ceremony.
