Teenage girl wins bronze in Pencak Silat at Intl’ World Championship in Abu Dhabi
Srinagar, Dec 28: A 15-year-old girl, Alishba Fatima Jillani won bronze medal at the International World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Hailing from Humhama Srinagar, Alishba represented India in the event who showcased exceptional talent in Pencak Silat in martial arts.
Alishba, daughter of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and Principal Commando Training Centre Lethpora, Tanveer Jillani, is studying in class 10th at Delhi Public School, Athwajan Srinagar.
She began her journey in martial arts at the age of 11, and has consistently working to excel in the field of sports. She has bagged several medals in national-level competitions till date.
She expressed immense happiness over representing India at international level. “I’m very happy to represent India at international level. It was a proud moment for me to compete against some of the best players of the world,” she said.
