Teachers Day celebrated with enthusiasm in Srinagar schools
Srinagar, Sep 5: Teachers Day was celebrated with great zeal at Crescent Public School, Naseem Bagh, Srinagar, and FirstCry Pre-School, Srinagar.
Students, staff, and other dignitaries gathered to honour and appreciate the hard work and dedication of teachers. The celebrations featured various activities and heartfelt gestures, making the day memorable for all involved.
The first event took place at Crescent Public School, where students expressed their gratitude through thoughtful gestures, such as presenting sweets and delivering speeches that highlighted the pivotal role of teachers, serving as tributes to their dedication and guidance.
One of the day's highlights was the felicitation of 25 teachers for their extraordinary contributions to education. Their commitment to academic excellence and student development was celebrated with immense appreciation.
GN Var, President of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), delivered an inspiring message, stating, “Teachers are the foundation upon which the future of society is built. Their unwavering dedication and passion for education drive progress. We must continually support and recognize their invaluable contributions.”
Er Mohammad Shukiel Dar, Chairman of Crescent Public School, also praised the teaching staff, noting, “Education is the most powerful tool to transform society, and teachers are its architects. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom, shaping future leaders and responsible citizens.”
Principal Farhat Ara Muqdoomi remarked, “Today’s celebrations reflect the respect and gratitude our students have for their teachers. It is heartwarming to witness such affection and recognition from our students.”
Vice Principal Junaid-ul-Shabar Khan emphasised the importance of the teacher-student bond, saying, “The unity and enthusiasm displayed today highlight the deep connection between teachers and students. It’s a proud moment to see their hard work recognised.”
