Srinagar, Sep 05: Teachers’ Day was joyfully celebrated across schools in Kashmir today, with students showing their appreciation for their teachers in special ways.

Sudents of all age groups came together to show their respect through thoughtful gifts and special programs, a news agency KINS reported.

The day, as per the report was filled with excitement and gratitude as students gave sweets and organized special events to honor their educators.

Schools throughout the region were lively with activities. Students joined in the celebrations, but the youngest ones in UKG (Upper Kindergarten) and LKG (Lower Kindergarten) were especially eager. They brought chocolates and small gifts for their teachers, showing their affection and appreciation.

In classrooms, students performed skits, recited poems, and sang songs for their teachers. These performances were a heartfelt way to show their respect. Teachers were touched by these gestures, which showed how much their work means to their students.

One teacher shared their pride in their role, saying, “It is a privilege to be in this field where we can educate children for a better future.” Many educators felt honored by the recognition, seeing it as a meaningful acknowledgment of their hard work.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also sent his best wishes to teachers on the eve of Teachers’ Day. He honored Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a respected educationist and former President of India, whose legacy continues to inspire educators.

Sinha emphasized the important role of teachers in nurturing creativity, curiosity, and essential values like teamwork and compassion. He thanked teachers for their dedication and commitment to shaping the future of the nation.
