TCI Max Cement organises 2-day free health camp in Khrew

Srinagar, Nov 2: In a significant community welfare initiative, TCI Max Cement, in collaboration with Paras Hospital, organised a two-day Free Health Camp at Town Hall, Khrew, on November 1 and 2.

The initiative, part of TCI Max’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the people of Khrew and adjoining villages who often face challenges in accessing specialised medical consultation, said a press release.

The health camp offered free consultations, diagnostic check-ups, and on-the-spot lab facilities, bringing together a team of experienced doctors from various specialties. The medical lineup included cardiology, internal medicine, orthopaedics, pulmonary medicine, gynaecology, neurology, and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery (CTVS), ensuring a wide range of healthcare needs were addressed under one roof.

A fully equipped diagnostic laboratory was also set up on-site, enabling participants to undergo tests and receive quick reports.

Free medicines were distributed to patients as per medical advice, and those needing further treatment were referred to specialised facilities.

The event witnessed a strong turnout, with hundreds of residents, including the elderly, women, and children, availing themselves of the free health services.

Locals appreciated the initiative, saying it provided timely medical support and created awareness about preventive healthcare.

Nisar Bhat, Manager at TCI Max Cement, said that the company remains deeply committed to the well-being of the community it serves.

Doctors from Paras Hospital expressed appreciation for the partnership and emphasised the importance of such outreach initiatives in improving health outcomes in semi-rural and industrial regions like Khrew.

Locals who attended the camp said they were grateful for the convenience of having multiple specialists available in their locality.

The event was part of TCI Max Cement’s broader CSR vision, which focuses on community health, education, and environmental well-being.
